American writers Terry Brooks and Christopher Paolini will participate in a live web chat on October 14 courtesy of Random House sub-side Suvudu, taking questions from fans and discussing fantasy, film and literature.

25-year-old Paolini shot to fame after 2003 when his first book Eragon was re-published by a major publisher; it had previously been self-published by Paolini’s family press. The book focuses on a boy named Eragon, who finds an egg in the mountains near his farm. The egg unexpectedly hatches into a dragon. Since that time several more books in the Inheritance Cycle series have been published, with a fourth on its way.

Brooks, on the other hand, is 40 years old than Paolini and one of the world’s best-loved fantasy writers, having penned an absolute tonne of books over the years, including the large Shannara series as well as the Magic Kingdom of Landover series.

Brooks also created the Brilliant Word and the Void series, a modern fantasy adventure. He published it years ago and then connected it to the Shannara trilogy! Brilliant!
